Just posting this one for the record, as I'm going to be away from home again for a couple of weeks, and want to see how I do. We're going up to the Scottish borders for a 4-day singing course, then on to Dunfermline to visit my brother, and then home by a different route, maybe stopping off in one of two places, depending on weather. Taking the camper van, so it's all nice and easy 😀

I suggest stopping off by Kielder Water & Forest Park in Northumberland. There is an observatory there, because it has the darkest skies in England. Views of the Milky Way are possible with vistas of stars in their thousands, something you don't see too often.
