3 lbs this week! If I continue I'll be pretty close to my goal of 160 by 4/23. I really made an effort this week to increase my calories while cutting back on carbs. When I went grocery shopping this weekend I really focused on buying food I can eat, while getting some things for my husband that I wouldn't be tempted to eat. He says he can tell a change and is proud when I turn things down that I shouldn't have. While it's nice that he says these things, my real goal is to lose enough that my sleep apnea goes away. Between that darn hose and my hot flashes I don't know how long it's been since I had a good night sleep. I've tried several remedies for my hot flashes, natural, medical and alternative. The things that worked brought other side effects I didn't like. So, I'm hoping that weight loss might help with that too. I'll keep up with what I did last week and look forward to good results! I know Easter is coming up and some travel for work. I'm looking for some recipes for Easter that everyone will like and are low carb. This will be a fun challenge. I will try to plan ahead and cut back on Saturday so on Easter I can enjoy myself....just a little!
