Fondashuz's Logboek, 30 jul 17

I havent logged on for a while, had a disheartening week last week when I had only lost a few pounds, but seem to be back on track this week. Still finding counting carbs to be a bit challenging, as years of low fat eating has taught me that you can have as many vegetables as I like. I really like cooking for myself again - I had been so reliant on packaged food, and convenience brands. Eating real food is a bit of a revelation. There have been a few challenges - spent yesterday surrounded by cake, for example - but i feel so much better for cutting out sugar and I am finding I dont really miss it. Last week someone gave me a pair of jeans that I was sure would be too small for me, and surprise surprise, they fit! How did I not know about this way of eating years ago? I am just so sorry it took me so long to discover it.

I'm cutting sugar myself and also feel more energetic. nice to hear someone else is also.

absolutely - beginning to see what they mean where they talk about it being so bad for you. good luck with your weight loss!

It's perfectly fine to lose just a few pounds a week. Slow loss is less of a shock on the body, and your fat and fluid disappearance is not always consistent anyway. Let yourself get used to this wonderful way of eating.

Thanks revvit - yes, I know that slow and steady is best, but it is nice to have some big losses to start with! I expect it to slow down now, and yep, am enjoying this way of eating - not seeing it as a diet but as a life change.
