Hopefully my scale is right and this isn't a glitch! Will check again mid-day and tonight. I know they say not to weigh daily but it seems to help me keep my eating in check.

I'm with you, I pretty much have to check to make sure I'm staying on track. I don't freak out about 2 lbs up or down, as my weight fluctuates so much due to hormones and water weight. I don't count a pound lost until it's off for at least 3 days :P

That is a good idea, Peasy! I've been slowly going down but this is the 2nd day in a row I've been this low. THanks Marsh! Me too!

Congrats on the loss. When you're in it for the long term, starting off with some victories on the scale is good for your morale. I'm in the weigh daily camp (once at roughly the same time each day) for many reasons, including, as you say, it encourages me to stay honest and on track. It allows me to track how my weight responds to different thing - time of month, not drinking enough water, drinking a lot of water, sushi night (I love soy sauce), etc. It also provide me with longer term trends and help me deal with things like short term plateaus. I can track it against things like activity levels and body measurements to get an overall picture of what is working well for me, and where I might consider changing things. I started back at the end of January and have managed to put a couple of pounds behind me, so I must be doing something right.

I'm hoping weighing daily does the same for me, Poke. I'm not going to document my loss daily ( hopefully there is at least a tiny bit of loss daily! ) but when I see a pattern for a few days I'll post it in :D Like you, I think it will help me see where I am going wrong, or what I am doing right.

Suggest you pick one consistent time per day to weigh.

Good drop! I weigh every day too just to keep on track. I'm the same as you Peasy, I don't count the weight a true drop unless it's been more than 2 days. I know I go up during the day by 2 pounds very consistently. I think most people do, and that's normal, so don't mind to much your midday and evening weight Lynn, I'm sure it'll be different. Weigh again in the morning :-) '

Thanks Jenn, I will :) and good point GZ. I wake up with the kids around 6 so I will just do it daily then, although that temptation to stand on the scale honestly hits me a few times a day *lol*
