I think I woke up the carb monster and now have to fight against it...
Yesterday I stayed at home. Did not work at all, had lots of thouths and realized in which direction to move on concerning my carreer. Anyway, I had about 300grams of cookies... Damn, that's really too much.
Those cookies are leftovers from the weekend, I made a tiramisu cake and brought cookies for coffee to some friends, just missed the tv-series night on Sunday since I was too tired for that. So, cookies stayed at home and yesterday I have been tempted. On Sunday I had my official Indulgence Day of the month, but actually it was not the only exception I did. I felt sick yesterday evening and last night it has not been easy to sleep, I woke up five times to drink and use the restroom. This morning I still feel sick and bloated.
I have to remind myself I am not on this diet for fun or to loose weight (I am at one kg from my goal weight). I am on this diet cause this way I don't feel sick, I can digest better, don't feel bloated, feel more healthy, don't have to drink over 3 liters of water and don't feel hungry all time.
I feel more and more tempted by cookies, cakes and sweets. I am really not supposed to eat them and in the past I was not used to eat them. Till I have been living in Italy, I had cake very seldom. I did not like to have Italian breakfast (cookies or pastry and a coffee) and had salty biscuits or fruit as a coffee break. In the past I used to be very choosy with the food I ate, so I went only for super good icecream or pastries, when I felt like having some. In Germany there's cake and cookies and lots of chocolate at every single coffee break. During my first year here I ate a lot of sweet stuff to compensate for feeling deeply unhappy. Somehow I cannot get rid of this bad habit. The point is: I usually don't fancy so much the popular cakes and cookies here. I prefer the Italian ones, or just good deserts when having a meal in a restaurant. Somehow I go on eating cakes and cookies I don't really like. They make me feel good for few minutes or half an hour, then I feel bloated and sick.
