I think I had a good day today. I had a half cup of oatmeal w/milk, pecans, and a few dried cranberries. for lunch i had raw broccali w/about 2 teaspoons of blue cheese dressing for dipping, a lowfat homemade spinach quiche, 1 kirkland granola bar. i'll be having soup later. oh and i had 3 brazil nuts for snack.

I had the soup. My sister brought it from Sprouts, an organic marketplace here in Tucson. They began here in Arizona; although I think they're all over the west. Actually I just checked. They're in 8 states but they began here in Arizona. The official name is Sprouts Farmer's Market.

I like them because they're very trustworthy and their organics are reasonably priced.

I figure if I have to have a diabetic diet, I'm going to have one that has the healthiest food I can get my hands on.

I had to stop a moment to run get my water. My doctor tells me I'm supposed to drink 256 ozs of water a day. Seriously. I think the most I've been able to accomplish is a little over half that amount. But anyway, when I got the 34 oz water jug I spend the day drinking from, i found the empty Ferrero Rocher package; and I finally remembered 'that's the other thing I had today.' I knew there was something else but I couldn't remember.

I had purchased a package to give as Ayyám-i-Há gifts to my fellow morning bus travelers last week. When I was done I had 3 left over which I brought home, had a nibble off one and forgot about. Found them again, gave one to my sister and then forgot about. Found them this morning and decided to have them with my lunch when I realized a full serving is 3 candies and only has 17 carbs. It was a nice surprise that this candy didn't have as much carbs as I thought it would. Anyway, now that I remember it, I've got to add it to my food journal for the day.

OK, I'm right. I didn't have enough carbs today. Heavy sigh. My bad is I don't like the food I can eat; so I don't want to eat anything. I have to make myself eat healthy. Heavy sigh. I'm supposed to have 250 carbs per day and I've only managed to get through 121. Plus I've only gotten through 1/3 of my calories for the day. I better go figure out something more to eat. Sigh. Food just doesn't taste good anymore.
