It is the day after Christmas. For the first time in 6 weeks, I got to see my husband have fun and smile and relax. We spent Christmas Eve at my Dad's and his girlfriends house. My BFF, Teri, came with us. It was a regular party. Lots of food, people, and drinks. Had a great time. Then Yesterday, the entire family went to my cousins house for Christmas breakfast. It was wonderful. The first time ever in his live that he hosted anything. He is special needs and has never had a place large enough or ever had the will to do it. We updated my Dad's old house several months ago and moved him in. First time in his adult life he lives in a house that is more than one room. He has a living room, a bed room, kitchen, dining room, laundry/utility room and a bathroom. So So happy we decided to do it for him, so gad we finally had the means.
Anyhoo, going back to real life. Going to clean the house for the first time in weeks. Going to go on errands for the first time in weeks, AND!!!! going to go out for dinner without worry about getting home too quickly. The simple things have never been more appreciated. :)
