What a beautiful weekend! I was able to almost complete the planting of my garden. I still have a few rows of flower seeds to get planted and then I am done. My MIL came over and helped me get some of it in. It sure makes it easier with two people.
I was even able to get in and check my beehives. There are 3 of them that are just booming. So far so good. I almost lost a queen in the grass but luckily I saw her and was able to replace her in the hive. That was a lucky move. It certainly wasn't skill! And such gentle bees this year. I still can't believe it. I am going to bring my niece out next time I open them up so she can see what its all about. She wanted to come yesterday but she had on skorts...Not exactly appropriate bee attire!
I placed my sweet little screaming Jardine's parrot in rescue Saturday. I felt so horrible. I pray they find her a forever happy home. She really is a sweety. If my husband didn't have such sensitive ears...
