Some deep journaling put my focus on why I choose to stay overweight. I use my body as a scapegoat as to why I can’t achieve and as a buffer from failure. This realization made me so appreciative of my body and in awe of its innate ability to heal.
In addressing the underlying issues of why I overeat and choose toxic foods to fuel my body I can now see that my body will release the weight and will work towards supporting me in a healthier way. It’s a losing battle to fight the body when the mind is not align ed to weight loss. The weight gain has been a crutch long enough.

I love how you’re owning your choices, because that means that you know you are in control. For most people, the punishment of obesity has to outweigh the pleasure of overeating to effect a change in diet and lifestyle. Maybe take a few full-length pictures and go to the doctor for a complete physical.
