Up 5 pounds from taking the summer off. I have been monitroing my weight weekly and this is the point I can't go past so I am starting again. I've been good about keeping bread and potatoes to a minimum but need to lay off the fresh berry desserts that make summer such a wonderful time of year.
2011 has been the summer of the bat for me. I seem to have developed some sort of scent that bats just love.We had them in our cabin in Wisconsin while on vacation. I slept in the car that night. That was followed up by having one swoop through the produce aisle while I was in WalMart. Shopping was cut short that evening too. The final episode was having one in our bedroom. It hit the wall and landed on the bed right next to my head! I was so freaked out I slept at my in-laws for the next 2 nights in a row. We now have a bat plan at our house and I sleep with a tennis racket and a flashlight under my pillow. It looks a little odd but I sleep much better knowing I am protected! lol
My husband and I are finally having our wedding reception this Saturday. We got married, eloped, in January and the weather was horrid so we decided to have a BBQ to celebrate. My family is coming from Michigan so I am getting a little stressed. Big events cause big anxiety. It'll be nice to meet more of the Iowa folks though.
Well, I am glad to be back. Missed all of you this summer and I am looking forward to catching up by reading your journals.

I'm so happy you're back with us again! I have missed your adventures on the farm and reading about all of your animal family members. No offense Sherill, but I've always thought you were a little BATTY!! {{{HUGS}}}
