I just can't stop eating. Back to my old habits of eating like sh$& from Friday night until Monday morning. Ashamed, feeling defeated

Guilt is a waste of time: let go of that emotion, toute suite, and apply what you have learned from the weekend-eating. I have the same issue, but only on Sundays (for some reason), and once I gave myself permission to admit I "screwed up" I could work on making it easy to stop doing it. You got this!

Bad bad bad girl for eating everything in site, you should be ashamed. Now you know what you did and you know what happens when you do it, that is great, we cannot get from point A to Z with out the other points, progress is progress, one step at a time. Just stand back up and refuse to allow food to dictate your life.

The key is to try to find out why you keep doing this same pattern. Why is it easy for you to stay on track during the week but not on the weekends? You do not have to wait until Monday. every day is a great day to pull up your boot straps and try again.

Nicole...don't worry we all have had those moments or we wouldn't be on this site! That you are owning it and want to "fix" it is huge...some people trick only themselves by ignoring bad diet habits. Look at your month of April, sure you had some bad weekend days, but you also had almost as many big calorie day's through the week in the month too...plus there are blank days...never a good sign if you're serious about tracking your input. You seem to be logging things accurately which is great, even the bad stuff like cookie binges....only you know how close to exactely this is done though. You, like me, have a sweet tooth issue...my kryptonite is ice cream - if it's in the house, I'll eat it, almost guaranteed...no matter what good intentions I may have earlier....pick out your weaknesses and try removing them your availability. Also, check out @NavymomT's last journal re sweet cravings...lots of great posts there. Good luck, you are still doing great, you and us are not bad people for giving in to cravings...we are human after all and far from perfect, have a great Sunday!!

Also, you will be carrying a lot of water with the carb loading..easily lost but also easily gained back with those big carb load days....

Don't worry about it, we've all done it, chin up, turn the corners of your mouth up and back on the diet again, you know you can do it.

Just keep at it Nicole. It's hard being human and wanting things. The same thing is happening with me...Day at a time, meal at a time...Just keep trying

You can do this. You do well during the week with a schedule. Apply your success to Friday's and weekends. So instead of seeing these days as a destination, see them as a continuation of Your plan and Your choices. This way your momentum - and joy - continues, without weekly off-ramps which require more energy than staying the course. When we see our "willpower" as a limited commodity, we submarine our efforts. Instead, take the longer view, and you'll walk right by the prior 'it's Friday, I got here' with the positive mindset - 'this is me, my day, my way.'

Been there, done that! Again and againā€¦ The great news is you don't have to keep doing it :) Time to change if that's what you really want. It's not easy but YOU are so worth it!

Thank you all, for such great posts. So nice not to feel alone. You have all inspired me to get back on the horse. I started back on track yesterday (Sunday) which helped break the entire weekend bad habits I have been getting stuck into. Thank you again for helping.

Find something to do on the weekends instead of staying home by the food. Get in the car and go sit in the park or take up a hobby. Get involved in a class.
