Took my bride to lunch and had a shimp P0Boy. Didn't eat all the bread and had it with sauteed spinach. It was out of my window and my stomach didn't take to it well. Not nauseous. More a spasm. Recovered though. Also had 2 double jalapeno tequila bloody marys. That was yesterday. Did not eat in my window at all yesterday. It was effectively a 24 hour fast afterwards and back on schedule today. I needed to mix it up a bit. Boy did I. That alcohol really hit me. Can't drink like I used to, that's for sure. Anyway, I am turning in a lack luster performance this week. Going to start upping the exercise now. Not eating for 24 hours didn't even bother me. BG reading was 88 this morning. I think I beat the type 2 Big D. (As long as I stay LCHF, I know.) Another month to the 200's. One day at a time.

Alcohol is terrible for weight loss - our bodies spend time metabolizing the alcohol instead of the food.

Alcohol is metabolized like fructose. Not good. But I am human and Irish. Everything in moderation, I say, including moderation. Thank you both! I don't think I'll be eating out of my window again for a long time. Stomach did not like that. I am too fond of bourbon and tequila to completely give either up. Once a month or two for the drinking and one drink less also. Glad the wife was driving.

I know you're right Phil but I started this trip swearing I was going to live life and the road was going to be loooooong and healthy. I have no set plan or time on this loss and I usually balance everything when I do decide to go off slightly. I am on this for life. I made a commitment and I got pretty low before I made it. I was a pretty big beer drinker, 2 cases a week. Just gave it up one day. So every once in a while, I am going to have a bloody mary or two because I like them. Doing things like this makes saying "I don't miss a thing" very easy to say. Again though, you are right!

Thank you for your graciousness, Ed, and my apologies. Sometimes I forget to NOT look at everyone else through my own diet perspective. As long as what you're doing is paying off in results, keep it up, brother and ignore know-it-all posts like the one I'm guilty of above. I call people out for trying to cram everyone into the same box, and that's exactly what I did above, and again, my apologies and thank you for not putting me on blast!
