So, I got a new/used scale from a friend at work and decided I would check my weight to see if I was still on track. However, this scale shows that I weigh more than when I started!!! :( I am unsure if the scale I was using previously is incorrect, or if I really weighed more all along..or if I gained that much! Does anyone have a good foolproof way to check which is right?

Scales are calibrated differently, so you can weigh something different on each one. Make sure it is on a hard level surface. Make sure you weigh same time, same clothes, same scale for most accurate gauge of weight loss. Before breakfast and after going to the bathroom in the morning is a good time. You might just want to start with whatever weight it says (make sure it's accurate by putting a weight of an object you know the weight of on it). It does not negate the weight you have already lost. This can happen each time you get a new scale. They should all be within a few pounds of each other though.
