I have been doing some research on intermittent fasting after seeing what a good response it seems to be receiving from the community.
It is truly fascinating, and I want to start on Monday on this new journey.
has anyone who is part taking in it particularly the ladies,got any pointers for me? Because I was reading an article saying that women due to our blood plasma levels being lower than men's, can only fast for 14 hours before having a nuclear melt down due to our hangry hormones, where as men can last for 16 hours comfortably.

I'm interested in hearing feed back on this theory.

I've been doing 16/8 fasting for almost 2 months now on 1300 cals and i honestly never feel hungry and i balance my macros nicely too

thanks so much for your feed back may I ask how it was to adjust in the beginning for you? and how has it made you feel physically especially in terms of when you work out? Do you take any amino acid supplements before working out? have you noticed changes in your body thus far?

oh yes and what time of day do you find is best to break your fast. I was considering breaking fast at 2pm because I work out in the evenings and then doing the 24 hour fast on sunday's.

Hi, i have been on IF for the past 2 months also. I’m on 18/6 during the week and Weekends I don’t fast. I’m not count calories, i have failed repeatedly doing the counting and I stopped. I’m also not on a special diet, however I avoid white starch and all sugars. I run 5 times a week and my program is time based rather than km. Lastly I am not on any supplements. Remember our bodies are not the same, mine is fully able without the supplements. I just drink more water.

Everyone is different. It also depends on your diet and lifestyle leading up to the fast. It may take awhile for you to dial in what your body reacts best too. I can definitely feel the positive effects of giving my digestive system a break sometimes. Good luck!
