Soooo... The better half of August I got sick. First incident was my back going out. But the 2nd incident was some type of a stomach bug. I believe it was food poisoning. Possibly some bad onions or maybe the bean sprouts weren't cleaned properly on some Pho that I ordered. But I wasn't able to eat the normal plan I usually consume. So I was advised to eat the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce & toast). I really didn't want to do this. So the blandest thing I decided to eat were bone broths & ginger tea & a plain baked potato with lemon & salt. I had actually went down to 332lbs. But.... once I started feeling better... I treated myself to eating things that I have stayed away from for the past eight months. Corn tortillas... yes... I ate tacos with corn tortillas and home made corn tortillas with my soup. I over induldge and that's why I am up in weight. Sooo... now back to the basics & to not let my thoughts of "oh well... you blew it" to "let's move forward girl" "get up and push forward... you won't regret it... & you don't want to sabotage all your good work" Soooo.... hear we go :)

Sooooo... This is a pleasant surprise. I'll take the loss :). I am feeling so tired right now with not getting the sleep I should be getting. I just found out that I do have sleep apnea. The doctor says it's on the mild side but was very enthusiastic about my future with the new CPAP machine that is on its way. He says it will take me about 3 months to really get use to it. That they will be keeping tabs through the machine. That it hooks up to the WiFi and they can access the information. I was kinda wierded out by that... Big Brother is really able to track it all. lol But he says there are no bad side effects & it will help me with my pain, mental health & weight loss. Well can I get an AMEN! Looking forward to reaping the possible benefits.

I have been able to stick to the low carb lifestyle. I do, on occasion, allow myself to have a very small amount of fruit (mostly berries) & nuts as a treat. Last night I had a 1/2 cup (or more) of whole milk cottage cheese with some chopped walnuts, frozen blueberries & a drizzle of Lacanto Sugar Free Maple Syrup. Even my son was intrigued and asked "what is that?"

The journey continues. I can't believe I have made it this far. But I'm so happy that I am here. Under 300lbs looks like a possibility now.
