Soooo... The better half of August I got sick. First incident was my back going out. But the 2nd incident was some type of a stomach bug. I believe it was food poisoning. Possibly some bad onions or maybe the bean sprouts weren't cleaned properly on some Pho that I ordered. But I wasn't able to eat the normal plan I usually consume. So I was advised to eat the BRAT diet (bananas, rice, applesauce & toast). I really didn't want to do this. So the blandest thing I decided to eat were bone broths & ginger tea & a plain baked potato with lemon & salt. I had actually went down to 332lbs. But.... once I started feeling better... I treated myself to eating things that I have stayed away from for the past eight months. Corn tortillas... yes... I ate tacos with corn tortillas and home made corn tortillas with my soup. I over induldge and that's why I am up in weight. Sooo... now back to the basics & to not let my thoughts of "oh well... you blew it" to "let's move forward girl" "get up and push forward... you won't regret it... & you don't want to sabotage all your good work" Soooo.... hear we go :)

I've been dealing with back pain & headaches so I have had to use meds to help me control my pain so I can heal. I was up and down in my weight 341 to 343 back & forth. But to see my weight today was a total shocker. I sure do hope that I can stay consistent. I've been kinda nervous & anxious because I do sometimes want the stuff I am purposely staying away from. They are not physical cravings. It is definately a battle upstairs in my mind. But I have managed not to derail my efforts. The journey continues...😊

Sooooo... This is a pleasant surprise. I'll take the loss :). I am feeling so tired right now with not getting the sleep I should be getting. I just found out that I do have sleep apnea. The doctor says it's on the mild side but was very enthusiastic about my future with the new CPAP machine that is on its way. He says it will take me about 3 months to really get use to it. That they will be keeping tabs through the machine. That it hooks up to the WiFi and they can access the information. I was kinda wierded out by that... Big Brother is really able to track it all. lol But he says there are no bad side effects & it will help me with my pain, mental health & weight loss. Well can I get an AMEN! Looking forward to reaping the possible benefits.
I have been able to stick to the low carb lifestyle. I do, on occasion, allow myself to have a very small amount of fruit (mostly berries) & nuts as a treat. Last night I had a 1/2 cup (or more) of whole milk cottage cheese with some chopped walnuts, frozen blueberries & a drizzle of Lacanto Sugar Free Maple Syrup. Even my son was intrigued and asked "what is that?"
The journey continues. I can't believe I have made it this far. But I'm so happy that I am here. Under 300lbs looks like a possibility now.

Just WOW! Is this really happening? The weight continues to drop. I am going to hold off on working out for now. I have too much discomfort just walking a short distance. It's frustrating as all heck! But I believe that as I continue to drop I will; hopefully, be more able to attempt at least a very low impact workout. I will continue with my massages to loosen up some of this tight fascia and muscles & help my circulation along with some meditations to help get to the next phase.

I really think the reason I am finally losing weight is because I'm sleeping better than before. I also got a 30min massage two weeks ago and will be getting another one for pain management & to loosen up my body. I have found out that when I think I'm relaxed I'm not. A PT that I have been working with is using some bio-feedback with me because she says that she thought she was going to have to work with me to become stronger but she says I can't become stronger if I can't learn how to relax my body first. That my body is at a constant state of stress. So we have been working on how to relax my muscles and body first. So interesting.
