Woke up this morning feeling better than I have in a long time. I've been having severe hip pain on my left side, pain down my left leg, and pain from the neuropathy in both feet. Last night I took some MSM crystals in a small glass of juice and woke up this morning in less pain that I have in a very long time. I couldn't believe it. And my feet were warm (which usually means pain!), but they weren't painful and I could actually walk around easily this morning. Very happy about this! Even happier with my BS! This morning's reading was 157. *w00t*

Yesterday was a wonderful day. My blood sugar stayed under 200 all day and I felt really good. So loving eating all of these vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains again. I checked my fat ratio yesterday and yes, it was quite high, but it's all from the natural fats already in the foods. I didn't add any extra fat to anything. So I am not going to worry about that for now unless the weight stalls. Then I may have to cut out the avocados for a bit til the weight comes down. I do so love my avocados though!

BP - 129/76 Pulse - 84
Keeping track of my fiber is proving to be harder than I thought. So wish FS calculated your total fiber for the day. Yesterday I ate between 20-23 grams of fiber. The daily recommend for women over 50 is 21 grams. So I guess I am doing ok with this.
Went out with an old friend from HS yesterday. It was quite a warm day here in Virginia, up into the 70s and we took advantage of it. Went for a drive through our state park, went to visit her mother's grave at the cemetery, and then sat out on the porch half the evening talking about the old times and laughing our arses off at our antics from our youth. It was good to catch up with her again.
Another bright, sunny and warm day here, again in the 70s. I think I will spend some time outside today, pruning and raking some leaves. Maybe read a book on the front porch.

Today I am beginning a Whole Foods Plant-Based diet. No Meat, Fish, Eggs or Dairy. Minimal fats. I will be consuming Vegetables, Fruits, Whole Grains, Legumes, Nuts and Seeds only. All fat will be plant-based. All protein will be plant-based. Consumption of processed foods will be minimal.
So it begins...

I really wish Fatsecret showed how much fiber, but it doesn't and since I need to keep up with it, I guess I will be calculating my own.
Total fiber for breakfast - 13 grams
More updates later...
Just made some homemade hummus for a snack later. It has been so long since I've made it, I almost forgot how. Had to find a recipe online. OMG it tastes so good. I can't wait til snack time now. *laughs*

Feeling much better after that two day fast. Blood sugar came down too. So back on the blended salads and egg drinks. Today, since I've been up all night, I had a blended salad for breakfast and will do the egg drink later in the day.
Since I've been consuming a lot of garlic lately, my blood pressure has been fairly low. It was 100/61 this morning. I really wish there was such a quick fix for my blood sugar.
The weather has turned a bit colder again and I am thinking about later in the week buying a whole chicken, roasting it and then making a chicken soup to warm my bones. I am going to simmer the bones afterwards for the bone broth for the soup.

Doing a fast of sorts for a couple of days. My blood glucose levels have gotten too high again and I need to drive them down.
