I can finally tell that I am definitely in ketosis and that my blood sugar is in better control... I don't have that sickly sweet smell about my body and urine anymore. After 20 yrs of that sickly sweet smell, this is fantastic!
Tomorrow, I will begin a full fast. I've been doing about a 24 hr fast the last few days naturally before eating again anyway. I am hoping that I can completely break through my diabetes issue this time. I am aiming for 3-7 days on this fast. Will see how I feel after the third day if I decide to continue and take it day by day.
But today, I will indulge in eggs, glorious eggs! and the last half of my avocado and for the hell of it, I may even have some sausage too. Do a bit of a fat load before the fast.

I slept really well again last night. I did the same meditation to get me into a peaceful sound sleep. I only woke once and stumbled to the bathroom. I felt like I had taken a powerful sleeping pill, but I hadn't. I am still off of all diabetic medication, actually off of all medication except the occasional use of elavil for my feet, which is rare, maybe once a month.
Overall, I feel well this morning, no aches, just a slight burning in my feet. It is quite chilly here in Virginia today and overcast with some light rain. A nice day to stay inside and snuggle up with a good book.

I am feeling really well this morning. I went to sleep around 3:30 am and woke up around 8:30 am. Those were the most rested 5 hrs of sleep I have had in a very long time. I meditated myself to sleep. My numbers look pretty good this morning and I attribute this to the Ho'oponopono meditation that I did last night. Even my feet feel better this morning.
Down 1.5 lbs today. That's a total of 15.5 lbs loss since August 28th. Waist is 46 inches. Three inches down! Today is a good day :)

My BP is still high and I know it is because I am not sleeping very well. It has been 5 days now since I have slept for more than 5 hrs and that has been fitful sleep at best. My BGL is a bit high, but that is without zero medication. I have stopped taking the Janumet as well as the insulin. I want my body to begin to respond through diet and walking.
I've decided to put off the extended fast until some time next week. I bought quite a few avocados and I don't want to waste them. So when they are gone, I will go on the extended fast.
Still just mostly eating eggs and fish. It has been over a week now and amazingly enough, I have not grown tired of either. I have added a few things to my supplement regimen: cod liver oil capsules every day, psyllium husks every other day, apple cider vinegar three times a day, and beginning next week, I will be adding ceylon cinnamon capsules, gelatin capsules, and flax seed oil. I really have no idea what I am doing. I just keep hoping that these tried and true remedies will eventually kick in and work for me. It is so frustrating seeing others with such amazing results regarding weight loss and diabetes control and I am struggling with both. All I can assume is that my body has become super resistant and it will take much much longer for any real progress.

waist - 47 inches... down another 1/2 inch - that's a full 2 inches so far, which is fantastic for me as it is the hardest place for me to lose weight.
Will weigh-in around sunrise. Not expecting a weight loss as I don't feel like I've lost anything.
Having strange sleeping patterns again. Apparently my body has put me on an evening schedule. Perhaps to ready me for the NaNoWriMo next month. I tend to write better at night. But now I am having problems with eating schedules too. I ate yesterday around 10 am and haven't eaten since. I am not really hungry, so I will wait as long as my body allows me to before eating. I may end up eating dinner food for breakfast as I have some fish thawing in the fridge.
