If it weren't for my bowed leg and curved spine, I would most likely stand at 6 feet 5 inches instead of 6 feet 1 inch. Oh well, I'm the lucky recipient of bad genetics.
My weight has stabilized (between 235-240 pounds) for the time being, and my waist is still shrinking. I'm beginning to use the newly repaired knee and should be in shape for the spring walking season.

I entered the gym one year ago today. The results of a quick 30-minute per day workout, 4 to 5 days a week, has shown that you do not have to spend hours in the gym to see results. A change in my diet was also an important component along with controlling that yearning for carbs.
I'm still hanging around 235 pounds on my way back to 200 pounds. The waist is now 34 inches, down from 50 inches. I'm still waiting for my knee to properly heal so I can begin long hikes on the weekends.

I have resisted this comparison for an entire year. This is the results of 365 days of limiting my sugar and carbohydrates to less than 5 grams per day. Most of my sugar/carbs grams are from the daily vitamins I take.
I reduced my waist from 50 inches to 36 inches. I hope to be back to a 32 inch waist by summer if another illness doesn't derail my progress.
I'm rapidly approaching the $2 million point for medical care over the past eight years.

I was between 235-240 pounds in high school (40 years ago), though not with the same body dimensions.
Only 35 more pounds until I reach my pre-second debilitating illness weight.
