Cardio appointment went a little better than expected. No heart attack! But am being scheduled for another heart cath. Will see what that does. She was concerned with the results of the stress test. Did another ekg and this one was great! She said my heart is STRONG!
Mealtime yesterday was not what was planned but really not too far off so am hoping my weigh-in on Saturday is encouraging.
Fasting BS 150 and b/p 121/75 with a pulse of 62.
Today another dr appt. Had another fritata for brunch and it was really satisfying. I am really, really trying hard with my meals. Going to be rough the first part of next week as we will be at our daughter and son-in-law's and mealtime there is on a different schedule as well as many of the meals out. This will be a real test for me.

Blood pressure 158/88, Pulse 60, Fasting Glucose 164...both are too high and I am puzzled about this. Might be because I had a lot of pain in one foot during the night and did not sleep well. Pain will mess with your numbers as well as not sleeping good.
Yum. Yesterday I had the best dinner. I made a frittata using farm fresh eggs, kale and a chili pepper from my garden pots, and a pear from my backyard tree. Oh was that good. I have to pick up more eggs today.
I actually went to the back yard and cut a few weeds that were growing along the fence line. Couldn't do much but got a couple feet cleared. I also picked the last two pears that I could reach. There is a nice one but it is too high to reach and right in the middle of the tree so cannot even use a ladder. I noticed I have some tomatoes on my plants, finally they are still small and green. Really haven't done anything this year at all. Am disappointed in them.
I have a cardio appointment today as my doctor thinks I may have had a "silent" heart attack. Kinda scary but that may explain why my heart is pounding after just the short walk to my mailbox at the road and back. It is only about two car lengths one way.
I am not weighing in until Saturday but am working on my food intake. Drinking plenty of water so I stay hydrated.

I am trying again to keep a close eye on food intake. Of course it is the end of the month where the food choices are limited. Started with very low b/p of 93/67 but high fasting blood sugar of 161.

I am trying to start off on the right foot. Had a cup of coffee with 1 tsp heavy cream. And a yummy protein shake blend. I am trying.... yoda says there is no try there is only DO... so I am doing this. Please help keep me on track.
Hubby had spaghetti so I fixed the other half of my spaghetti squash. Added the sauce and had green beans. Done with coffee for now. Drinking as much water as I can hold.
Am still working on balance of foods... Is a challenge with what foods we have until end of the month.

Thank you for the hints everyone
I feel like I am scolding all of you for your help. I am not, I really appreciate the answers, I was hoping to find something. I will not stop but I was so frustrated. Hubby had just lost his part time job so we are now 100% on retirement so that cuts the grocery budget down some more.
Thank you everyone for the help. There are a few things I had tried before and am going to try again.
1. I am not on a sodium restricted diet so I am getting all I can use. I really cannot take any more as it causes water retention on my ankles.
2. My life went through a major change when I was told to leave my job and file for early retirement.
3. Movement..... something that people with neuropathy cannot do much of. I walk to my mailbox at the road and back to the house, climbing three painful steps to my front porch, and have to stop and rest, sometimes even having to take a pain pill when I am back inside.
3. I have had my thyroid checked and it is well within the normal range. We are keeping a close watch on it because I have 3 spots on it as well as 2 on a kidney, and 6 on a lung.
4. I am taking Gymnema Sylvestre, Bitter Melon, Cinnamon, and Berberine but still need the metformin as well as my novolin N and R. If my carbs go above 50 a a day my glucose goes well over 250, hence another shot.
It is not that I don't want to up my proteins and lower my carbs, it is that I cannot afford to buy the foods needed. If it were just me I could do it, but he is a picky eater.
I tried working with a dietician but all she did was help me put on more weight. She kept insisting I eat grains (raise my glucose) and just take more insulin (insulin causes weight gain and so do the antibiotics I have to take) I tried her way for a month, but put on weight, raised my insulin dose, and shot a huge hole in my budget. Her idea of not having enough money was about three times what mine was. If I was going to spend that much I would have no problem with the keto or any other way of eating.
I don't even want desserts, they are just tooo sweet.
