Jenfar's Logboek, 29 jul 14

Week 8 day 1 - legs workout - a good workout but my feet are killing me! today applied non steroid gel and wore insoles - I'm suspecting I have some inflammation in the tendons in my feet...tomorrow i have scheduled a Reflexology appointment and leg massage with an Aryuveda therapist, hoping to get some answers about this pain, this week is horrible. Bought new crossfit shoes which i shall use for crossfit class tonight and for weights. It could be that my aerobic shoes were not cut out for the workouts i was doing so even though they were nice and flexible, i think i might need more support on the feet. Hoping the situation will improve soon as i have a wedding on Friday eve!

I have to replace my exercise shoes twice a year because they are great for a few months then start to hurt my feet. I use insoles when they start to go and get a few extra months, but eventually it's new shoes.

Thanks Kathy....looks like i'll have to do the same...since I stopped running didn't give the shoes much importance as i thought the gym didn't require anything that good - guess i was wrong!

Yes, exercise shoes are different for each type of exercise. Running shoes don't work for cross training or zumba, and vica versa. I think it's a collaborative effort by the shoe companies to make more money.

totally agree - got another pair this morning! the running shoes didn't quite work out either :)!

The last 3 days I have actually done my zumba barefoot and nothing hurts.
