I had my Cardiac Stress Test yesterday and the Cardiologist was very impressed. She said what ever I am doing that I should keep doing. They hooked me up to lot of probes and put me on a inclined tread mill. To get my heart rate up to 150 bpm they had to keep increasing the speed. I was actually running on the tread mill before my heart was at my target rate. Something I learned in pain management is to breath with your diaphragm/lower stomach to get more oxygen intake and this will keep your blood better oxygenated and less work on the heart/lungs. I am still walking 90 minutes/day and still losing weight effectively so I am not really going to increase my activity at this time.
