12 days since Peter's motorcycle accident and he is in the trauma unit at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, after 5 days in ICU. He is going to be transferred to a hospital closer to home soon, where he will stay until he is strong enough to go to rehab.
Fractures of the pelvis, fibula, possibly knee and shoulder, internal bleeding and severe bruising of the abdomen and thighs.
Two days ago, with the help of 2 physiotherapists, he was able to get out of bed and sit in a wheelchair for about 30 minutes.
Good prognosis for complete recovery, but it will take many weeks.
