One of the unexpected benefits of changing how I eat is that I do way more grilling than I used to and I have gotten so much better at grilling, especially grilled chicken. What I make is honestly better than what I can get at restaurants in town.

Time for a new goal weight! I hit my first goal of 205 lbs, which was 64 lbs of weight loss since the beginning of this year. Next goal is 190 lbs but with very little body fat and more muscle.

This has been a difficult month for me. I've been losing an average of 2.5 lbs a week for the last 6 months I've been dieting and I have hit plateaus before but never this long. August 8th will be my 7th month mark and at the pace I am going I will have only lost 5 lbs this last month instead of 10lbs like the past 6 months before this one.
I did hit my first goal weight of 205 lbs, which I am very happy about, but I was really hoping to hit 200 lbs this week.

I'm getting so close to 1st goal weight of 205. Just 3 or 4 more pounds to go. Yesterday was 6 months since starting my dieting and exercise program and I've lost 60 pounds and have gotten much stronger since I first started lifting weights. Still have a ways to go to get to where I want to be but I'm making steady progress.

I started tracking my running again. Back when I was in the Army I could run 10 miles at a 7:30/mile pace. I pushed myself hard today and couldn't hold 8:30/mile for 3.6 miles. I have a long ways to go still to get back into good running shape.
