Day 6 of exercising. I am feeling good and down 6lbs. So about a pound a day with exercise. I have to say I do want the scale to move more quickly but I will have to get over that. I like feeling fit. Zumba yesterday was hard. Not physically, well kinda, but I mean it was the looking in the mirror part. I felt so inadequate. Sweat was dripping and although when I put the clothes on I felt good standing there I just felt awful. I almost quit. I almost decided that Zumba was not for me and if I could just get through that workout I would never have to go back.

Yesterday was just all around sucky and I think that is why I felt so awful. I was yelling at kids and people, being lazy, dealing with attacks all around. I looked at my Bible over and over again and refused to pick it up. How stupid! Anyways...today is yoga, yard sales, swimming and block party bbq. Then I plan to workout later tonight too. I like night time working out. Helps me not to eat after dinner.

This week is gonna be good.
6/5- weights
6/6- kickboxing
6/7-weights n zumba
6/8- spin
6/9- body step
6/10-weights and zumba

I hope I can do it. I will remember that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

I'm Back Baby!

Got myself a Y membership and have been going everyday since the 29th. The 29th I didnt work out we just went to the pool. Everyday since we have worked out for an hour and then went to the pool. It has been wonderful. I set up a schedule to go until the end of the month. It has me working out 7 days a week. I know to some they will say oh thats too much. But I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I am not doing it to lose faster. I am doing it because it gives me time out of the house which I dont ever get having 5 kids, it gives me time to myself which I dont ever get having 5 kids, and it gives me time with my husband who is my workout buddy, which I dont ever get having 5 kids.

After the workout I pick the kids up from their classes at the Y and we head to the pool! Its great. Then I dont feel like I have to eat all night long. I come home get them to bed play dominoes with my husband then drift off to sleep. So I am going to do this. Somedays I have a printout from a personal trainer and I do that, then Zumba, then some days spin only, other days kickboxing others yoga and some just the treadmill at slow for an hour.

Goal

to workout everyday for 7 days in a row.
to come back on here next thursday with at least a 5lb loss.
to move more and have more energy.
no eating after 7pm
drink more water.
keep weekends in check.

It was my bday so I partied and now I am paying for it. BUT! I joined the Y. Last night my husband and I dropped off the kids and went and had a great 60m workout. We plan on doing this hopefully 5x a week. Tonight we are going there to the pool with the kids then I will go do a zumba class. I am very excited. I was shocked to see that I gained almost 10lbs this weekend. I lost a couple yesterday after working out. I ate sugar again too which I need to stop. Not all sugar but stuff thats too addicting for me. I think the Y will be good for me. I can work out with my husband and the kids are taken care of and it doesnt cost me anything additional. Im very excited. The facility is very nice, they have great classes and a super awesome pool. The kids are having a blast and I will be getting healthy so will Paul.

June 1st I start a program called the tour de Texas. I signed up to go 734 miles. That means I have to work out 3x a day for 60 mins a day. I think this will motivate me to exercise, but the gym and childcare alone is motivation.

Goals

1. to work out at least 3x a week for 60m
2. Avoid eating after 730pm
3. no cake, candy
4. one dessert a week.
5. limit alcohol and iced coffee

I always loved my time at the gym back home. It was over 30m from my house and still in all the snow and wet and gloom I managed to get to the gym a few days a week. Here its almost always sunny. The gym is 5 mins from my house and its got an awesome pool! Score! I think my 30th year is gonna be a good one.
