Boy, this week has gotten off to a rocky start. Yesterday, I came in under my recommended carbs because I skipped lunch due to being too busy to think about it and I didn't get any real exercise. Our dryer went out over the weekend and we discovered the kids had head lice. So I spent the day washing lennons, running to and from the neighbors to dry, and delousing the house and kids. This morning I had to take my youngest back to the doctor because she has had this cough we just can't get rid of. Doctor thinks that, despite 2 allergy medicines already, it is allergies and recommended I add a 3rd allergy medicine to her regimen. How many dang allergy medicines does one child need? My grandmother wanted to come to get out of the house then she insisted on taking my daughter and I to Burger King. Since she insisted on paying I went cheap so my carbs are blown again today. Tomorrow I have to take my son to the dentist but maybe I will manage to stay on track better than the last two days. I'm really hoping things will calm down soon.

Yesterday was my "cheat" day and boy when I do it I do it right. I went way over cals and carbs, but this is a no guilt zone so I don't feel any. I really enjoyed a day in the city with my hubby and eating foods I haven't had in soooo long. I know I haven't been on the low carb diet long so you are probably wondering what I could feel so deprived of. Well, we live in a small, rural town but today traveled 2.5 hours to our home town. It has been over a year since we have been home and we hit some restaurants we haven't even had the option of since moving here 3 years ago. We had the philosopher's pie at the Mellow Mushroom for lunch accompanied with a SweetWater 420. Then for dinner we had Krystal's. The Krystal's did seem to triggered some addition like behaviors in me as I ate twice as many krystals as I normally do. But it all tasted soo good and was so worth it. Tomorrow is back to the straight and narrow. I hope everyone enjoyed their Saturday as much as I enjoyed mine.

I went out to get a few things to help this journey even more. I got a new digital scale because I didn't trust my old one and it was hard to read. I got a new yoga mat because my old one was beat up from the kids using it. I got a step counter so that even without being able to take the dog for a walk I can keep up with my challenge. And I got a 2 lbs weighted exercise ball because they make working out easy hard; if you know what I mean. I've tried everything out and am super happy and excited to use them.

Also, thanks to the new scale I weighted in today and found I've lost 3 more pounds. That makes 5 lbs in less than 2 weeks. If I keep this up I might get to wear a bikini this summer. That would be the first time since I was a teen.

And last but not least; I've drank nothing but water today. No tea, no coffee, only water. This is the first time I think ever that I've drank nothing but water. It is most definitely the first time I've don't it with out having to fight myself. Now that my taste buds have adjusted to the lack of sugar water actually taste better, go figure.
