I broke down today and bought a bit of junk food. I dunno why, what I really wanted was diet soda and I even bought the wrong kind of diet soda. Anyway, I guess I need to rethink things. I haven't weighed in again yet because I have not been being proactive. My goal is to get some exercise tonight by cleaning my house. God help me!

Hello,
I am so discouraged. I just got back on FatSecret after being away for a few months. I didn't have a computer for a while, and then I actually got depressed for quite a while and totally FORGOT about losing weight. How can someone my size FORGET about losing weight?! I have just eaten everything in sight. Two days ago I found myself polishing off a "just opened" 1.5 quart ice cream container. I was mortified. And the thing is, even after just a few bites, I REALLY didn't want anymore, BUT I just kept eating! Depression really does that to ya. I struggle with mental illness severely and am on Disability because of it. I can't even tell you my diagnosis because they say my illness has gotten more severe and the diagnosis has to change. THIS also depresses me. I live alone. THIS depresses me. I feel I have so many things against me, it's overwhelming. I put on TEN pounds! I am so ashamed of myself. I keep telling myself I can't do it and this depresses me. I see so many people lose the weight JUST to put it all back on again, so I think, why bother? I eat for the sake of eating. I don't get full. My stomach is so stretched out I bet it could stretch across the Great Lakes. I know of NO ONE who has lost the weight and kept it off, EXCEPT people who have gone thru Bariatric surgery, and believe me, they look emaciated. Looks like someone stretched their skin and put it back on their bodies. I don't want surgery. I couldn't get it anyway because of my health problems. I want to ask anyone out there, ANYONE, if you HAVE lost weight, AND kept it off, please, be my friend and encourage me. Because I am so lost. Thanks.
